What Causes Unbalanced Climate Change?
Specific Human Activities = Increase of Greenhouse Gases (CO2, CH4 and N2O)
Excess of Greenhouse Gases = Global Warming
Global Warming = Unbalanced Climate Change

Unbalanced Earth's Climate Change = Expected Consequences
Only 2 degrees warmer is all it takes for creating decades of lasting problems:
Weather Problems including:
Hurricanes, floods, droughts.
Health Problems including:
Diseases, proliferation of infectious agents due to increased humidity and diminished crops quality.
Ecosystems Problems including:
Massive destruction of habitats, nutrients and species.
Social Disruption including:
Hunger, massive displacements, epidemic outbreaks, death.

Urgent need to Stop Destroying the Rainforests
As per the scientific community, this specific human activity of destroying the rainforests
seems to be the most pressing matter that the world should address to reduce global warming.

Why Save the Rainforests?
Rainforests are the lungs of the earth's atmosphere. They reduce the greenhouse gases naturally.
Only 2% of earth is covered by rainforests but 50% of all species live in the Rainforests.
A football size piece of Rainforests is destroyed every 4 seconds.
Rainforests produce 70% of the 3000 plants known so far to contain cancer cells fighting ingredients
and some of these active ingredients are being used in cancer treatments.
Deforestation and burning of the Rainforests is said to contribute to 20% of the world's CO2 emissions.
Rainforests plants and animals are being destroyed before science had a chance to discover them and their uses for mankind.
The Rainforest is the balance scale of earth's climate. Once unbalanced, it is known to disrupt and threatened numerous delicate ecosystems from which humans are also a part of.

Why are humans destroying the Rainforests?
Known Reasons for deforestation:
Ignorance, poverty, farming, ranching, production of "biofuel" crops, urban expansion and unsustainable logging.

What can we do to save the Rainforests?
First, we invite you to learn about the rainforests issue by visiting the
organizations that are presently acting towards saving the rainforests.
Secondly, by registering online to the Prince's Rainforests Project, you will give Prince Charles a voice
to protect the Rainforests at the upcoming U.N.'s international climate change meetings in Copenhagen in December 2009.
Thirdly, by asking a question about Climate Change for the December 17th 2009 "CNN/YouTube Debate" here:
